Every semester, Aalborg University campus Copenhagen hosts an introduction program for new international students. The program is divided into two:
- A Pre-arrival Webinar (online)
- International Welcome Event (on campus)
The Introduction Program is aimed specifically at helping you get a good start at AAU. The program is for all new international full-degree, exchange, and guest students.
During the Introduction Program, you will get to learn how to navigate your new surroundings and you get the chance to start building up a social and academic network before your studies start.

International Welcome Day
We are looking forward to greeting all newly arriving international students at AAU Copenhagen!
FRIDAY 29 AUGUST 2025
The International Welcome Day (IWD) is a special welcoming session for international students that are new to Denmark. It is mandatory for new international students to participate, as you will receive valuable information regarding being a new student at AAU CPH.
We will also provide you with crucial information on registration at the Danish authorities, and you will have the chance to meet and greet all the other internationals across the study programs.
Additionally, the Study Start Day, that takes place on Monday 1st of September is focused primarily on the study content and socializing with the classmates from your specific study program.
You do not need to register in advance, just meet up at 11:00 where the IWD program starts.

Aalborg University, CVR.
