Give others a helping hand

Do you remember when you started at AAU and how several people were ready to help you get started on your new study? You have the opportunity to do the same for others. Your knowledge and experience as a student at AAU and in Denmark, in general, can be worth gold for new students. You, therefore, have the opportunity to make a difference for new international students by becoming a buddy.

Hvad er min opgave som buddy?

As a buddy, it is your job to help international students and contribute to their safe and pleasant student life at AAU.

You introduce them to the form of study at AAU. You are also the one who helps students back home in Aalborg and prepares them well in relation to Danish culture and practical conditions – e.g. how to take the bus, where the library is, and how to open a bank account.

By being a buddy you get...

  • Friendships across national borders.
  • Training in your English language skills – maybe other languages if you want.
  • Acquainted with new cultures
  • Experience for your resume

So help a new student and be a buddy.
